退票 — tuìpiào

1. to bounce (a check); (of a bank) to dishonour/return a cheque

   他的支票被银行退票了。 tā de zhīpiào bèi yínháng tuìpiào le — His cheque was bounced by the bank.

2. to return a ticket; to request a ticket refund

   演出取消了，我们去售票处退票。 yǎnchū qǔxiāo le wǒmen qù shòupiàochù tuìpiào — The show was cancelled; we're going to the ticket office to get refunds.

3. ticket refund (the refunded amount or the act/result of returning a ticket)

   我已经拿到退票了，钱已经退回到我的卡上。 wǒ yǐjīng nádào tuìpiào le qián yǐjīng tuìhuí dào wǒ de kǎ shàng — I've received the ticket refund; the money has been returned to my card.
