退场 — tuìchǎng

1. to leave a place where an event is taking place; to depart from a venue

   演出结束后，观众慢慢退场。 yǎnchū jiéshù hòu guānzhòng mànmàn tuìchǎng — After the performance ended, the audience slowly left the venue.

2. (of an actor) to exit (from the stage)

   演员在第三幕退场时，全场安静下来。 yǎnyuán zài dìsānmù tuìchǎng shí quánchǎng ānjìngxiàlái — When the actor exited in the third act, the whole house fell silent.

3. (sports) to leave the field; (of an audience) to leave (the venue)

   比赛暂停后，球员们退场接受治疗。 bǐsài zàntíng hòu qiúyuán men tuìchǎng jiēshòu zhìliáo — After the match was paused, the players left the field to receive treatment.
