迷魂汤 — míhúntāng

1. potion given to souls before they are reincarnated that makes them forget their previous life (aka 孟婆汤, Mengpo soup)

   传说中，迷魂汤让亡魂忘记前世。 chuánshuō zhōng míhúntāng ràng wánghún wàngjì qiánshì — In legend, the Mengpo potion makes the dead forget their previous life.

2. magic potion

   农夫找到一种像迷魂汤一样的草药，说能治百病。 nóngfū zhǎodào yīzhǒng xiàng míhúntāng yīyàng de cǎoyào shuō néng zhì bǎibìng — The farmer found an herb like a magic potion and said it could cure all illnesses.

3. (fig.) bewitching words or actions; something that enthralls or stupefies a person

   他的甜言蜜语对她来说就是一剂迷魂汤，使她忘了警惕。 tā de tiányánmìyǔ duì tā láishuō jiùshì yījì míhúntāng shǐ tā wàng le jǐngtì — His sweet talk was like a bewitching potion to her, making her forget to be on guard.
