1. superstition; a belief in supernatural causation (e.g., luck, omens, feng shui)

   很多人还相信一些迷信，比如说不要在门口放鞋。 hěnduō rén hái xiāngxìn yīxiē míxìn bǐrúshuō búyào zài ménkǒu fàng xié — Many people still believe in some superstitions, for example not putting shoes by the door.

2. to be superstitious; to hold a superstitious belief (in something)

   他很迷信，相信红色能带来好运。 tā hěn míxìn xiāngxìn hóngsè néng dàilái hǎoyùn — He is very superstitious; he believes red can bring good luck.
