1. to enter the venue; to enter the arena (e.g., spectators or performers going into a concert hall, stadium, etc.)

   他昨晚九点准时进场看演唱会。 tā zuówǎn jiǔdiǎn zhǔnshí jìnchǎng kàn yǎnchànghuì — He entered the venue on time at 9 last night to watch the concert.

2. (aviation) to approach the airfield; to come into the landing pattern/approach

   塔台通知：前方交通已清，允许你现在进场。 tǎtái tōngzhī qiánfāng jiāotōng yǐ qīng yǔnxǔ nǐ xiànzài jìnchǎng — Control tower: traffic ahead is clear, you are cleared to enter the approach now.

3. (investing) to get into the market; to enter a position

   在股价回调后，许多短线交易者选择进场建仓。 zài gǔjià huídiào hòu xǔduō duǎnxiànjiāoyì zhě xuǎnzé jìnchǎng jiàncāng — After the price pullback, many short-term traders chose to enter the market and open positions.
