   我没想到会这么难。 wǒ méixiǎngdào huì zhème nán — I didn't expect it to be this difficult.

2. how much? (used in questions about degree/amount)

   你这么忙，什么时候有空？ nǐ zhème máng shénme shíhòu yǒukòng — You're so busy — when will you have free time?

3. like this; in this way

   你照我说的这么做就可以了。 nǐ zhào wǒ shuō de zhème zuò jiù kěyǐ le — Just do it the way I said and it'll be fine.
