返照 — fǎnzhào

1. reflection; the light that is reflected back (e.g. from a surface or water)

   湖面在月光下闪着返照。 húmiàn zài yuèguāng xià shǎn zhe fǎnzhào — The surface of the lake glowed with reflected moonlight.

2. to reflect back; to send light or an image back toward the source

   镜子把灯光返照到房间的另一边。 jìngzi bǎ dēngguāng fǎnzhào dào fángjiān de lìngyībiān — The mirror reflected the lamp light to the other side of the room.
