运行 — yùnxíng

1. to move along one's course (of celestial bodies); to orbit or travel through space

   行星围绕恒星运行。 xíngxīng wéirào héngxīng yùnxíng — Planets move along their orbits around a star.

2. to function; to be in operation; to run (in the sense of working properly)

   新系统已经运行了两周，性能稳定。 xīn xìtǒng yǐjīng yùnxíng le liǎngzhōu xìngnéng wěndìng — The new system has been running for two weeks and is stable.

3. to operate (a service, machine, train, or computer); to run (an event or schedule)

   这趟列车每日按时运行。 zhè tàng lièchē měirì ànshí yùnxíng — This train runs on schedule every day.
