1. (of a groom) to fetch one's bride from her parents' home to escort her to the wedding ceremony; (fig.) to take as one's wife; to marry (a woman)

   他今年回家迎娶了她。 tā jīnnián huíjiā yíngqǔ le tā — This year he went home to fetch his bride and marry her.
