迎 — yíng

1. to welcome; to greet (someone arriving)

   大家热烈迎接新老师。 dàjiā rèliè yíngjiē xīn lǎoshī — Everyone warmly welcomed the new teacher.

2. to meet; to go to meet someone (e.g., at a station or airport)

   我们去机场迎他。 wǒmen qù jīchǎng yíng tā — We're going to the airport to meet him.

3. to forge ahead; to face (difficulties) head-on (often in the idiom 迎难而上)

   面对挑战，他总是迎难而上。 miànduì tiǎozhàn tā zǒngshì yíngnánérshàng — When facing challenges, he always forges ahead.
