过路 — guòlù

1. passerby; bystander; someone passing through

   他只是个过路人，不想插手这件事。 tā zhǐshì gè guòlùrén bùxiǎng chāshǒu zhèjiàn shì — He is just a passerby and doesn't want to get involved.

2. temporary; incidental; passing (not permanent)

   他们租了一个过路的房间，只住了一个月。 tāmen zū le yígè guòlù de fángjiān zhǐ zhù le yígèyuè — They rented a room temporarily and stayed only a month.
