1. excessive; going too far; over- (e.g., overuse, overreaction)

   他的批评有点过度，让人难以接受。 tā de pīpíng yǒudiǎn guòdù ràng rén nányǐ jiēshòu — His criticism was a bit excessive and hard to accept.

2. overdue; beyond an acceptable limit (often of intensity, degree, or time)

   如果你过度拖延，问题会变得更难解决。 rúguǒ nǐ guòdù tuōyán wèntí huì biàndé gèng nán jiějué — If you delay excessively, the problem will become harder to solve.
