   你这样批评他有点过头了。 nǐ zhèyàng pīpíng tā yǒudiǎn guòtóu le — Your criticism of him is a bit over the top.

2. excessively; too (much)

   他花钱过头了，银行账户快见底。 tā huāqián guòtóu le yínháng zhànghù kuài jiàn dǐ — He spent too much money; his bank account is almost empty.

3. beyond one's ability or understanding; over one's head; overhead

   这些技术细节对我来说有点过头。 zhèxiē jìshùxìjié duì wǒ láishuō yǒudiǎn guòtóu — These technical details are a bit over my head.
