1. to make life difficult for; to pick on; to treat someone badly

   他总是喜欢跟我过不去。 tā zǒngshì xǐhuān gēn wǒ guòbùqù — He always likes to pick on me.

2. to be unable to get past/over something emotionally or mentally; can't let go

   这件事我一直过不去，老是想起来就难受。 zhèjiàn shì wǒ yìzhí guòbùqù lǎo shì xiǎng qǐlái jiù nánshòu — I still can't get over this; I feel upset whenever I think about it.
