xiá

辖 — xiá

1. to govern; to have jurisdiction over (bound form)

   他负责辖区内的安全。 tā fùzé xiáqū nèi de ānquán — He is responsible for security in his jurisdiction.

2. linchpin (used to fasten a wheel to an axle)

   车轮的辖把轮子固定在轴上。 chēlún de xiá bǎ lúnzi gùdìng zài zhóu shàng — The wheel's linchpin secures the wheel to the axle.
