   请你轻声说话，孩子正在睡觉。 qǐng nǐ qīngshēng shuōhuà háizi zhèngzài shuìjiào — Please speak softly, the child is sleeping.

2. (linguistics) neutral tone

   普通话里有一个叫轻声的声调。 pǔtōnghuà lǐ yǒu yígè jiào qīngshēng de shēngdiào — In Mandarin there is a tone called the neutral tone.
