轰鸣 — hōngmíng

1. to boom (a loud explosive sound)

   远处的炮声轰鸣。 yuǎnchù de pàoshēng hōngmíng — The distant cannon fire boomed.

2. to rumble; to make a deep continuous sound

   卡车在隧道里轰鸣经过。 kǎchē zài suìdào lǐ hōngmíng jīngguò — The truck rumbled through the tunnel.
