1. (to take) a turn for the better; to improve (situation)

   病情终于出现了转机。 bìngqíng zhōngyú chūxiàn le zhuǎnjī — The illness finally took a turn for the better.

2. to change planes; to transfer flights

   从上海到伦敦要在北京转机。 cóng shànghǎi dào lúndūn yào zài běijīng zhuǎnjī — To get from Shanghai to London you have to change planes in Beijing.
