转悠 — zhuànyou

1. to wander about; to stroll (lingering with no particular purpose)

   他在街上转悠，不知道去哪儿。 tā zài jiēshàng zhuànyōu bùzhī dào qù nǎér — He was wandering around the street, not sure where to go.

2. to roll; to spin around (move in a circling or rolling motion)

   轮胎打滑，车轮在原地转悠。 lúntāi dǎhuá chēlún zài yuándì zhuànyōu — The tire slipped and the wheel spun in place.

3. to appear again and again in one's mind; to keep coming back (an idea, image, or phrase)

   这个念头一直在我脑子里转悠，怎么也忘不掉。 zhège niàntou yìzhí zài wǒ nǎozilǐ zhuànyōu zěnme yě wàngbùdiào — This thought keeps going around in my head; I can't forget it.
