2. to follow someone around; to shadow (someone)

   小王整天跟班儿于那位官员，想讨好他。 xiǎo wáng zhěngtiān gēnbān er yú nàwèi guānyuán xiǎng tǎohǎo tā — Xiao Wang follows that official around all day, trying to curry favor.
