1. to follow

   他跟从老师学习新的方法。 tā gēn cóng lǎoshī xuéxí xīn de fāngfǎ — He follows the teacher to learn new methods.

2. (of a woman) to get married

   她十八岁时跟从了丈夫，搬去了乡下。 tā shíbāsuì shí gēn cóng le zhàngfū bān qù le xiāngxià — She got married at eighteen and moved to the countryside with her husband.

3. (old) attendant

   他曾是皇上的跟从。 tā céng shì huángshàng de gēn cóng — He used to be an attendant to the emperor.
