2. runway; airstrip (for aircraft takeoff and landing)

   飞机正在跑道上滑行准备起飞。 fēijī zhèngzài pǎodào shàng huáxíng zhǔnbèi qǐfēi — The plane is taxiing on the runway preparing for takeoff.
