跑步 — pǎobù

1. to run (move quickly on foot)

   他每天早上跑步去上班。 tā měitiān zǎoshàng pǎobù qù shàngbān — He runs to work every morning.

2. to jog (run at a slow, steady pace for exercise)

   她喜欢傍晚去公园跑步锻炼身体。 tā xǐhuān bàngwǎn qù gōngyuán pǎobù duànliànshēntǐ — She likes to jog in the park in the evening for exercise.

3. (military) to march at the double; to run in formation

   教官命令全连士兵跑步通过操场。 jiàoguān mìnglìng quán lián shìbīng pǎobù tōngguò cāochǎng — The instructor ordered the whole company to run across the drill ground.
