跑动 — pǎodòng

1. to run; to move by running; to run about

   孩子们在操场上跑动，玩得很高兴。 háizi men zài cāochǎngshàng pǎodòng wán dé hěn gāoxìng — The children ran around on the playground and had a great time.

2. running (movement); a run (in sports, exercise context)

   在足球训练中，教练要求每名球员做三次短距离跑动。 zài zúqiú xùnliàn zhōng jiàoliàn yāoqiú měi míng qiúyuán zuò sāncì duǎnjùlí pǎodòng — In football training, the coach asked each player to do three short runs.
