   今年税务部门超收了部分税款。 jīnnián shuìwù bùmén chāoshōu le bùfèn shuìkuǎn — This year the tax authorities collected more than expected in some taxes.

2. an excess in intake or receipts; an over-collection or oversubscription (e.g., of students, funds)

   学校因为超收新生，导致教室不够用。 xuéxiào yīnwèi chāoshōu xīnshēng dǎozhì jiàoshì bùgòu yòng — Because the school over-enrolled new students, there are not enough classrooms.
