趁着 — chèn zhe

1. to take advantage of (an opportunity) to do something; seize the chance

   趁着周末的空儿，我想去爬山。 chènzhe zhōumò de kòngér wǒ xiǎngqù páshān — Taking advantage of the weekend free time, I want to go hiking.

2. while/during (used to indicate that one action happens during the time of another)

   趁着天还没黑，赶快回家吧。 chènzhe tiān hái méi hēi gǎnkuài huíjiāba — While it's not dark yet, hurry home.
