起身

qǐshēn

起身 — qǐshēn

1. to get up (from bed or a seat)

   他从床上起身了。 tā cóng chuángshàng qǐshēn le — He got up from the bed.

2. to leave; to take one's leave

   晚会结束时，他起身告辞离开了。 wǎnhuì jiéshù shí tā qǐshēn gàocí líkāi le — When the party ended, he got up to take his leave and left.

3. to set forth; to depart (for a journey)

   我们一行人清晨起身出发前往山里。 wǒmen yī xíngrén qīngchén qǐshēn chūfā qiánwǎng shānlǐ — Our group set off early in the morning for the mountains.
