1. to make it in time; to manage to do something on time or before an opportunity passes

   我们赶趟儿去开会，还来得及吗？ wǒmen gǎntàngér qù kāihuì hái láidejí ma — Can we still make it to the meeting in time?

2. to stop by or visit briefly while passing by

   他来北京出差，顺便赶趟儿来看了我们。 tā lái běijīng chūchāi shùnbiàn gǎntàngér láikàn le wǒmen — He came to Beijing on business and dropped by to see us while passing through.
