走动 — zǒudòng

1. to walk around; to move about

   病人刚醒来，需要在病房里走动。 bìngrén gāng xǐnglái xūyào zài bìngfáng lǐ zǒudòng — The patient has just woken up and needs to walk around in the ward.

2. to stretch one's legs; to go for a walk

   下午茶后我们出去走动一下吧。 xiàwǔchá hòu wǒmen chūqù zǒudòng yīxià ba — Let's go out for a walk after afternoon tea.

3. to visit one another; to socialize

   节假日邻居们常常互相走动。 jiéjiàrì línjūmen chángcháng hùxiāng zǒudòng — Neighbors often visit one another during the holidays.

4. to go to the toilet (colloquial)

   孩子说他要去走动一下，然后就跑向厕所。 háizi shuō tā yào qù zǒudòng yīxià ránhòu jiù pǎo xiàng cèsuǒ — The child said he wanted to go for a walk and then ran to the toilet.
