   他把旧家具贱卖了。 tā bǎ jiùjiājù jiànmài le — He sold his old furniture cheaply.

2. lowly; despicable; contemptible (insult)

   他真是个贱人。 tā zhēnshì gè jiànrén — He's really a despicable person.

3. (bound form, humble) 'my' — archaic or literary humble first-person possessive used in set phrases

   贱妾不敢妄言。 jiànqiè bùgǎn wàngyán — Your humble servant dares not speak presumptuously.
