1. harmonious; well-coordinated

   这个设计色彩调和，看起来很舒服。 zhège shèjì sècǎi tiáohé kànqǐlái hěn shūfú — The colors in this design are harmonious and look comfortable.

2. to mediate; to reconcile; to bring parties into agreement

   他们请了一位长者来调和双方的争执。 tāmen qǐng le yīwèi zhǎngzhě lái tiáohé shuāngfāng de zhēngzhí — They asked an elder to mediate the dispute between the two sides.

3. to mix or blend (ingredients, flavors); to season

   炒菜时要学会把各种调料调和得当。 chǎocài shí yào xuéhuì bǎ gèzhǒng tiáoliào tiáohé dédàng — When stir-frying you should learn to blend the seasonings properly.
