1. to ridicule; to tease; to mock

   他喜欢调侃同事，但大家并不介意。 tā xǐhuān tiáokǎn tóngshì dàn dàjiā bìng bùjièyì — He likes to tease his colleagues, but nobody minds.

2. idle teasing; chitchat that pokes fun; banter

   他们的聊天充满了调侃和笑声。 tāmen de liáotiān chōngmǎn le tiáokǎn hé xiàoshēng — Their chat was full of teasing and laughter.
