2. (math./logical) suppose; assume; given (e.g. 设x=2 …)

   设两个数之和为十，求它们的差。 shè liǎnggè shù zhī hé wèi shí qiú tāmen de chà — Suppose the sum of two numbers is ten; find their difference.
