1. to teach; to train (skills or behavior)

   公司会在入职后训新员工。 gōngsī huì zài rù zhí hòu xùn xīn yuángōng — The company trains new employees after they join.

2. to admonish; to scold (as correction)

   老师在上课时训了他一顿，因为他打扰同学。 lǎoshī zài shàngkèshí xùn le tā yīdùn yīnwèi tā dǎrǎo tóngxué — The teacher admonished him during class because he disturbed classmates.

3. (bound form) instruction; teachings; rule (from superiors)

   遵守上级的训是维持秩序的基本要求。 zūnshǒu shàngjí de xùn shì wéichízhìxù de jīběn yāoqiú — Following superiors' instructions is a basic requirement for maintaining order.
