1. (facial) expression

   他的表情很严肃，像是在思考重要的事。 tā de biǎoqíng hěn yánsù xiàngshì zài sīkǎo zhòngyào de shì — His expression was serious, as if he were thinking about something important.

2. to express one's feelings (often through facial expression)

   她不善于用言语表情，但会通过眼神告诉你她的想法。 tā bùshàn yú yòng yányǔ biǎoqíng dàn huì tōngguò yǎnshén gàosù nǐ tā de xiǎngfǎ — She isn't good at expressing herself with words, but she will tell you her thoughts through her eyes.
