1. self-discipline; self-regulation

   他的自律让他每天早起读书。 tā de zìlǜ ràng tā měitiān zǎoqǐ dúshū — His self-discipline makes him get up early every day to study.

2. autonomy (in ethics; personal autonomy)

   在医学伦理中，尊重病人的自律非常重要。 zài yīxué lúnlǐ zhōng zūnzhòng bìngrén de zìlǜ fēicháng zhòngyào — In medical ethics, respecting the patient's autonomy is very important.

3. autonomic (physiology) — relating to the autonomic nervous system
