腔 — qiāng

1. cavity; (anatomical) chamber (usually appears as a bound morpheme in compounds, e.g. 胸腔)

   胸腔里有肺和心脏。 xiōngqiāng lǐ yǒu fèi hé xīnzàng — The thoracic cavity contains the lungs and heart.

2. speech; way of speaking; tune; accent; style or manner of vocal expression (often seen in compounds like 腔调 qiāngdiào)

   他说话有南方的腔儿。 tā shuōhuà yǒu nánfāng de qiāngér — He speaks with a southern accent.

3. (archaic) classifier for carcasses of slaughtered livestock

   屠夫把一腔猪肉挂在了钩子上。 túfū bǎ yīqiāng zhūròu guà zài le gōuzi shàng — The butcher hung a whole pig carcass on the hook.
