   他把绳子缠绕在柱子上。 tā bǎ shéngzi chánrào zài zhùzi shàng — He wound the rope around the post.

2. to pester; to bother; to cling to someone (figurative)

   他不停地缠绕我问同一个问题，直到我答应了。 tā bùtíng dì chánrào wǒ wèn tóngyīgè wèntí zhídào wǒ dāyìng le — He kept pestering me with the same question until I agreed.
