缓 — huǎn

1. slow; unhurried; gradual; sluggish

   他的反应比较缓，不容易紧张。 tā de fǎnyìng bǐjiào huǎn bùróng yì jǐnzhāng — His reactions are relatively slow; he doesn't get nervous easily.

2. relaxed; not tense; easygoing

   面试的时候保持缓的态度更有利。 miànshì de shíhòu bǎochí huǎn de tàidù gèng yǒulì — Keeping a relaxed attitude during the interview is more advantageous.

3. to postpone; to defer; to delay; to stall

   会议被缓到下周举行。 huìyì bèi huǎn dào xiàzhōu jǔxíng — The meeting was postponed until next week.

4. to revive; to recuperate; to recover (gradually)

   经济在政策刺激下开始缓起来。 jīngjì zài zhèngcè cìjī xià kāishǐ huǎn qǐlái — The economy began to revive under policy stimulus.
