1. to be entangled; to become twisted together; to be involved in a complicated situation

   鞋带和草丛纠缠在一起了，走不动了。 xiédài hé cǎocóng jiūchán zài yìqǐ le zǒubùdòng le — The shoelace got tangled with the grass, I couldn't walk.

2. to pester; to bother persistently; to entangle someone emotionally or legally (figurative)

   别总是纠缠她了，让她自己想清楚。 bié zǒngshì jiūchán tā le ràng tā zìjǐ xiǎng qīngchǔ — Stop pestering her; let her think things through on her own.
