累 — lèi

1. tired; weary; fatigued

   我今天很累，想早睡。 wǒ jīntiān hěn lèi xiǎng zǎoshuì — I'm very tired today and want to sleep early.

2. to strain; to wear out; to work hard (causing fatigue)

   别把自己累坏了，要注意休息。 bié bǎ zìjǐ lèihuài le yào zhùyì xiūxī — Don't wear yourself out; remember to rest.

累 — lěi

1. to accumulate; to pile up

   经验会慢慢累积起来。 jīngyàn huì mànmàn lěijī qǐlái — Experience will slowly accumulate.

2. to involve; to implicate (someone) in something

   他犯的错连累了整个团队。 tā fàn de cuò liánlěi le zhěnggè tuánduì — The mistake he made implicated the whole team.

3. continuous; repeated; successive

   经过几年的累积，他终于买下了房子。 jīngguò jǐnián de lěijī tā zhōngyú mǎixià le fángzi — After several years of accumulation, he finally bought a house.

累 — léi

1. rope; cord

   古时以累为绳，以缚囚犯。 gǔshí yǐ lèi wèi shéng yǐ fù qiúfàn — In ancient times, ropes were used to bind prisoners.

2. to bind together; to twist around; to tie

   她用细绳将行李累扎成捆。 tā yòng xìshéng jiāng xínglǐ lèi zhāchéng kǔn — She tied the luggage into a bundle with a thin rope.
