   这些都是工业生产的糟粕，不能直接使用。 zhèxiē dōu shì gōngyèshēngchǎn de zāopò bùnéng zhíjiē shǐyòng — These are all industrial dregs and cannot be used directly.

2. fig. useless residue; worthless remnant

   我们要摒弃思想上的糟粕，吸收先进的观念。 wǒmen yào bǐngqì sīxiǎng shàng de zāopò xīshōu xiānjìn de guānniàn — We must discard the useless residues of thought and adopt advanced ideas.
