第三 — dìsān

1. third (ordinal number; the one in position three)

   这是第三个苹果。 zhè shì dìsāngè píngguǒ — This is the third apple.

2. a third party / third person (an outsider separate from the two main parties)

   合同中规定了第三方的权利和义务。 hétóng zhōng guīdìng le dìsānfāng de quánlì hé yìwù — The contract specifies the rights and obligations of the third party.

3. thirdly (used to introduce the third point in a list)

   第三，我们要提高产品质量。 dìsān wǒmen yào tígāo chǎnpǐnzhìliàng — Thirdly, we must improve product quality.
