1. narrow (physically small in width)

   这条路很窄，汽车通过很困难。 zhètiáo lù hěnzhǎi qìchē tōngguò hěn kùnnán — This road is very narrow; it's hard for cars to pass.

2. narrow-minded; intolerant in outlook

   他的思想很窄，不太接受新观点。 tā de sīxiǎng hěnzhǎi bù tài jiēshòu xīn guāndiǎn — His thinking is narrow; he doesn't readily accept new ideas.

3. badly off; short of money (colloquial)

   他现在手头很窄，买不起票。 tā xiànzài shǒutóu hěnzhǎi mǎibùqǐ piào — He's short on money right now and can't afford a ticket.
