1. to offer sacrifices to gods or ancestors; to perform sacrificial rites

   每年春节我们都会祭祀祖先，烧纸钱和供奉香烛。 měinián chūnjié wǒmen dū huì jìsì zǔxiān shāozhǐ qián hé gòngfèng xiāngzhú — Every Spring Festival we offer sacrifices to our ancestors, burning joss paper and offering incense and candles.
