矫正 — jiǎozhèng

1. to correct; to rectify (errors, policies, behaviour)

   他正在矫正错误的做法。 tā zhèngzài jiǎozhèng cuòwù de zuòfǎ — He is correcting the mistaken practice.

2. to correct a physical defect (e.g. teeth, posture, vision); to straighten (body parts)

   她戴牙套来矫正牙齿。 tā dài yá tào lái jiǎozhèng yáchǐ — She wears braces to straighten her teeth.

3. rectification; correction (the result or process of correcting)

   经过矫正，报告的数据才准确无误。 jīngguò jiǎozhèng bàogào de shùjù cái zhǔnquèwúwù — After rectification, the report's data were accurate.
