灌输 — guànshū

1. to imbue with; to inculcate; to instill (an idea, belief, value) into someone

   父母不应该向孩子灌输偏见。 fùmǔ bù yīnggāi xiàng háizi guànshū piānjiàn — Parents should not instill prejudice in their children.

2. to channel water to another place (literal irrigation sense)

   古代用水渠把山上的水灌输到田地里。 gǔdài yòng shuǐqú bǎ shānshàng de shuǐguàn shūdào tiándì lǐ — In ancient times they used canals to channel water from the mountain to the fields.
