   我们明天要在厂区演习消防逃生。 wǒmen míngtiān yào zài chǎngqū yǎnxí xiāofáng táoshēng — We will do a fire-escape drill in the factory area tomorrow.

2. a drill; an exercise; a maneuver (as a noun referring to the event)

   这次消防演习持续了两个小时。 zhècì xiāofángyǎnxí chíxù le liǎnggè xiǎoshí — This fire drill lasted two hours.
