滑行 — huáxíng

1. to slide

   他在冰上滑行。 tā zài bīngshàng huáxíng — He slid on the ice.

2. to coast (move without pedaling or power)

   自行车沿着坡道滑行到山下。 zìxíngchē yánzhe pōdào huáxíng dào shānxià — The bicycle coasted down the hill.

3. to glide (smooth, continuous movement through the air or along a surface)

   老鹰在空中滑行，寻找猎物。 lǎoyīng zài kōngzhōng huáxíng xúnzhǎo lièwù — The eagle glided through the air, looking for prey.

4. (of an aircraft) to taxi (move on the ground under its own power on a runway)

   飞机在跑道上滑行准备起飞。 fēijī zài pǎodào shàng huáxíng zhǔnbèi qǐfēi — The plane taxied on the runway preparing for takeoff.
