清淡 — qīngdàn

1. light (of food); not greasy or strongly flavored

   这家餐馆的菜很清淡，不油腻。 zhèjiā cānguǎn de cài hěn qīngdàn bù yóunì — The dishes at this restaurant are very light, not greasy.

2. insipid; bland (lacking flavor or interest)

   我觉得这道汤太清淡了，需要加点盐。 wǒ juéde zhè dào tāng tài qīngdàn le xūyào jiādiǎn yán — I think this soup is too bland; it needs some salt.

3. slack (sales); quiet or slow (business)

   最近店里的生意很清淡，进店客人少。 zuìjìn diànlǐ de shēngyì hěn qīngdàn jìn diàn kèrén shǎo — Business at the store has been slow recently; few customers come in.
